Delete your account

You can delete your Magic Tutor account and everything in it at any time, for free. You do not need to give a reason, and you do not need to still have the app installed.
How to ask us to delete it
- Send an email to support@magictutor.ai with the subject "Delete my account".
- Send it from the email address you signed in with, so we know the request is really yours. If you signed in with Apple using "Hide My Email", send it from that relay address — it reaches us the same way.
- We delete the account and confirm by reply. This normally takes a day or two, and never more than 30 days.
We will not ask you to explain why, and we will not try to talk you out of it.
What gets deleted
- your account, including your name, email address and profile picture
- every lesson you have made, in both Memorize and Understand modes
- your learning streak and your history
- your language setting and all your usage counts
- any lesson you shared by link stops working
Your photos are not on this list because we never stored them in the first place. A photographed page is sent to be read and is never written to our servers. A PDF is deleted automatically one hour after you upload it. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
What we may keep, and why
After deletion we may keep a small amount of data for a limited time:
- Server logs for up to 30 days, as an ordinary security record. These are then deleted automatically.
- Payment records held by Apple or Google. We never had your card details, and these records are theirs, not ours — we cannot delete them, and tax law requires them to be kept.
Nothing kept is used to rebuild your account or to contact you.
Cancel your subscription separately
Deleting your account does not cancel a Magic Tutor Pro subscription, because the subscription lives with Apple or Google, not with us. Cancel it yourself before you delete the account, or you will keep being charged:
- iPhone or iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Magic Tutor → Cancel Subscription
- Android: Google Play Store → your profile picture → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → Magic Tutor → Cancel
Just want to take a break?
You do not have to delete anything to stop using Magic Tutor. Signing out keeps your lessons where they are, ready for when you come back. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
